Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Quorly is a local-first writing application. These Terms govern your use of the Quorly website, editor, and Quorly Pro subscription services. By using Quorly, you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts and eligibility
The free editor does not require an account. Quorly Pro requires sign-in with a Google account through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have appropriate parental or guardian consent, to purchase Quorly Pro.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Quorly Pro is offered as a paid subscription. Current prices are listed on the Pro page: $5.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Prices may change for future billing periods, with notice where required.
Subscriptions are charged immediately and renew automatically unless cancelled. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. Taxes may be added at checkout as required.
Cancellation and refund terms are described in the Subscription, Billing & Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Quorly for lawful personal or business writing. You may not use it to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, abuse our services or infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents and content you create with Quorly. Quorly does not receive or store your document content; it remains in your browser unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
You are responsible for backing up your work. Clearing browser data may permanently delete local documents.
6. Intellectual property
Quorly, its software, branding, and website content are owned by Quorly or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond using the service as intended.
7. Service availability and disclaimers
Quorly is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quorly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for Quorly Pro in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using Quorly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Termination of your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription; cancellation must be handled through the subscription management process described in the refund policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
Quorly is operated from India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
Disputes will be subject to the courts of India, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or local remedies available to you under applicable law.
Note for review: governing-law and jurisdiction language is flagged for legal review before publication, particularly for customers in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protections.
